Mouser - now we know where he gets his name from!

Mouser has made himself right at home here and hangs out with Chloe, Max and occasionally with Frito (depending upon how he's feeling that day)... But when you see Mouser and Chloe together in one photo, you can really tell why Mouser got the name he did!

Chloe has those traditional 'sweetheart' ears of a Chihuahua (the upside down hearts slightly offside of the center of her head), but Mouser's oversized ears stand STRAIGHT UP and almost 99% of the time!

Mouser is frequently taken for a MinPin or Miniature Dobie, but he doesn't have the structure nor size of either breed, so we're staying with our classification of his being a Chi... He certainly has the demeanor of a Chi, not having a clue just how tiny he is and well as the delicate footing most Chihuahuas have... For those Chi lovers who get particular about their breeds, some refer to these markings as "Bandits" because of the mask... You'll see "Black Bandits" and "Brown Bandits" advertised in the ads for breeders selling this breed... But Mouser would be classified as a 'deerhead' as opposed to the highly breed 'applehead' Chihuahuas...

Regardless, Mouser is a real love button and his favorite place to nap is on my chest when I'm laid back in the recliner! :) Thankfully, he weighs nothing so I can breathe! He's still right at 4 pounds and was cleared of the Demodex by the vet, so Mouser will go to be neutered on Thursday (May 14th). After neutered and then licensed, Mouser will be ready for his furever home!
