We thought you all might like to see an update on "Baby Holly"... Remember how badly this little girl looked back in December? If you don't, click HERE and what her video.
Well, today Baby Holly went into be spayed, microchipped and get her rabies inoculation... she's sleeping "it off" right now... This little wee one is such a sweet, sweet little girl... She's friendly and hands out kisses in exchange for belly rubs and pats... She has a few BFFs that she loves to run and play with, and while she's not the fastest on the block, she has an inner strength of determination that is neat to watch... Not 'hard-headed' or obstinate, she's always the last one to give up and give in during a game of 'catch me' or playing with toys... It is almost like she has a supreme sense of life or appreciation of the better thing life has to offer her, ya know?... So she is going to enjoy each and every second of every moment... It is spiritually refreshing and renewing to watch this little one...
The other day we had a hummingbird buzz by the Jerusalem orange tree... She caught sight of it, followed it across the back yard - not in chase mode but in "what is this?" kind of mode... Midway, she sat down and just watched it hovering... Slowly she stood up, not like a cat or stalking - just in casual walking and got closer so she was just underneath the hummingbird...
Cocking her head to one side, she seemed just absolutely fascinated by the motion and movement... I was on the very edge of my chair, ready to move quickly in the event Baby Holly decided to use the edge of the planter to stand up and get a closer look... Protective I might be after so much work to get her healthy, but that darn plant has some serious nasty thorns on it...
Surprisingly, she watched for a bit, satisfied her curiosity and strolled over to me, sat down, gave my leg a lick, turned once around and settled in for a brief nap in the sun... What a gentle and loving spirit this little one has... She will make someone a wonderful furever friend! Are you her new bestest friend in the whole wide world??
.
You're such a miracle worker, Linda! I'm so proud of your success stories about all the wee ones! You give back to them the great quality of life they always deserved but hadn't found until now. Thank you a million times over!!
